Warner Records Countries Partner to Bring 'Music as Medicine' to Relieve Pain, Anxiety, and Stress

In an innovative move, Warner Music Group has partnered with MediMusic, a British health tech start-up, to explore the therapeutic effects of music on mental well-being. This collaboration aims to harness the power of music to alleviate pain, anxiety, and stress, offering a novel approach to healthcare.

The partnership builds upon Warner Records' recent success at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where their album 'I Can Almost See Houston: The Complete Howdy Glenn' received a nomination for Best Album Notes. This achievement is a testament to the label's commitment to preserving musical heritage and introducing new artists to global audiences.

As part of this collaboration, ADA Worldwide, Warner Music Group's independent label and artist services arm, has partnered with Omnivore Recordings to cover global distribution for their entire catalog, including new releases. Founded in 2010 by industry veterans Cheryl Pawelski, Greg Allen, Brad Rosenberger, and Dutch Cramblitt, Omnivore Recordings boasts a diverse range of artists, from the Muffs to Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Meanwhile, Fuji Music Group has acquired songwriter Will Jennings' publishing rights and writer's share catalog through an exclusive joint venture with All Clear Music. Jennings, a Songwriters Hall of Famer, has penned hits for Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, Barry Manilow, Tim McGraw, Whitney Houston, and Dionne Warwick, among others.

Gibson Gives, Gibson's philanthropic arm, will also sponsor three Tuition Assistance Scholarships in 2024, worth up to $10,000 each, for students pursuing a music education with electric or acoustic guitar as their primary instrument. This initiative builds upon the scholarship program created nine years ago and co-sponsored by Latin music creators such as Enrique Iglesias and Nicky Jam.
